Understand the Visual 1 – a seminar in the foundations program, a hybrid lab/seminar class for students to develop skills in research, presentation, critique, and discussion.
Understanding the Visual 2- a seminar in the foundations program, focusing on the artist statement, analysis and discussion of contemporary art & design, and development of a digital portfolio.
Figure Drawing 1-a figure drawing class concentrating on the study of the human form and skeletal anatomy.
Observational Drawing 1- Introductory drawing class focusing on value, form, texture, composition, perspective, figure, and basic anatomy.
Drawing Strategies- elective within the Fine Arts focusing on 5 different approaches to developing bodies of work: the alter-ego, palimpsest, space & perspective, deconstruction, and systems.
Alverno August 2014- December 2015
Technical Drawing- The first class in the art department’s required drawing sequence focusing on value, form, texure, composition, perspective, analytical skills, and creative decision making.
Expressive Drawing – The second class in the art department’s required drawing sequence is designed to further the analytic skills developed in drawing one. Students use their ability to observe and represent objects and figures by adding diverse problem solving and media approaches to create a personal expressive viewpoint.
Painting 1- Students introduced to basic principles of water-based- media through means of representation and expression.

Instructor of Record-
Drawing 101 & 2D Concepts- Teaching the development and expansion of seeing through the drawing discipline in black and white media, as well as introduction to basic design concepts and elements through traditional drawing and painting materials.
Marquette University June 2011- Present
Drawing for Dentistry students as part of the HCOP (Health Care Opportunity Program) to students who were either first generation in the country or from a disadvantaged background. Students were second or third year undergrad biology and chemistry students and Pre-Enrollment to Marquette’s Dentistry Program.. This was part of CSEP
(College Science Enrichment Program) and PESP (Pre-Enrollment Support Program).
Brooklyn Henke Studios May 2009-Present
Design and execution of a variety of commercial and private works. Clients include the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Hotel Metro, Danny Vegh’s, Laughlin Constable, Aurora Sinai, Beechwood Distributors, RCS, Artistic Finishes, Tim Haglund Studios, The Great Pumpkin Patch, and Horny Goat Brewery. Worked as Executive Director, Promotional Expert, Creative Director, Designer, and Mural Painter.
Skylight Music Theatre & Milwaukee Chamber Theatre
August 2010-June 2013
Scenic Painter at Skylight Music Theatre. Painted theatrical sets and props in accordance with the scenic designers technical drawings and painting elevations, which changed for every show in the season. Became experience in methods of color reproduction, texture, and the aesthetic aging process. Worked with a crew of set builders, designers, technical directors, and other artists and became versed in working with faux plaster, wood, metal, theatrical paints, glazing, and finishing.
Milwaukee Public Museum Jan 2009-June 2009
Designed and painted a mural (10 ft x 12 ft) as an intern on the floor during museum hours for the 125th anniversary. Interacted with students groups, families, and the general public and assisted in the education department in answering questions and explaining the mural process. Illustrated a number of works to be sold in the gift shop.
